For departures from other terminals, transfer is via bus to the appropriate terminal.

Interterminal buses operate every 6-8 minutes, 24 hours a day, and take approximately 10 minutes from terminal to terminal.
How long does it take to transfer between city airports?
LHR to LGW
The National Express bus from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) to London Gatwick Airport (LGW) takes approximately one hour and 30 minutes. Buses operate every 15 minutes between 05:30-12:00 and every 30 minutes between 12:00-22:30.
City to LHR
To reach London Heathrow from London City Airport using public transport, take the Dockland Light Rail to Canning Town, then the Underground to Paddington for connections to the Heathrow Express. Please allow a minimum of one hour and 30 minutes for this journey.
