Transferring within and between terminals

International flights arrive at Terminal 5. Clear immigration and customs on the lower level and re-check your luggage.

If you need to connect to an American Airlines domestic or Iberia flight, follow the signs to the Airport Transit System (ATS) for transfer to Terminal 3.

If you need to connect from a U.S.domestic flight from Terminal 3 to British Airways, Japan Airlines, or Royal Jordanian, follow the signs to the Airport Transit System (ATS) to transfer to Terminal 5.

If you already have a boarding pass for your connecting flight, clear security and proceed to your departure gate If you do not have a boarding pass, proceed to the check-in counter of the airline you are flying with.

How long does it take to transfer between terminals?

The free Airport Transit System (ATS) connects all terminals, with a maximum travel time of 10 minutes. It operates every three to five minutes between 07:00-22:00 and every 20 minutes between 22:00-07:00.
