Transferring within and between terminals

From an international flight to a domestic flight – Clear customs and immigration, collect your luggage and proceed to TAM check-in in Terminal 1 to recheck your bags.

From an international flight to an international flight – Proceed to the transit area to clear security. Connecting flights can depart from Terminals 1, 2 or 3. To transfer between terminals, you must go through security without clearing immigration. 

From a domestic flight to International flight – Proceed to the check-in counter of your connecting airline, then through security and immigration.

How long does it take to transfer within and between terminals?

Walking times differ based on gate and terminal location. Walking between terminals takes approximately 15-20 minutes.

Terminal 3 and Airline Relocations

With the opening of the new Terminal 3, many airlines are moving operations within and between terminals.

British Airways, Iberai and Qatar Airways have already moved all services to Terminal 3, with American Airlines moving several services across from Terminal 2 on 20th September 2014. The remainder of American Airlines services, along with those of US Airways, will relocate to Terminal 3 in April 2015.

LAN and TAM moved all international services to Terminal 3 on 07th/08th October 2014.

TAM domestic services will be moving from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 on 09th October 2014.
