Elise Zealand

Elise Zealand serves as oneworld’s Vice President – Legal, HR & Compliance and General Counsel, leading the alliance’s legal, governance, human resources and compliance functions. As a member of the leadership team, she provides strategic counsel to the Governing and Management Boards and plays a key role in shaping oneworld’s approach to talent, regulatory integrity, and organisational risk management. She guides the delivery of innovative legal solutions across the alliance and oversees all litigation, regulatory matters, and risk mitigation initiatives.

With more than twenty years of experience as a legal and business executive, Elise has advised Boards of Directors and senior leaders on complex, high-stakes issues spanning governance, compliance, mergers, litigation, product development, and enterprise risk.

Before joining oneworld – her third appointment as a general counsel – she built her career providing legal counsel for a broad range of organisations on commercial and employment litigation, contracts, intellectual property, and antitrust.
